Siemens is committed to providing the best products and services in automation for its customers that will hold up with technology over time. As part of an effort to provide long-term solutions, Siemens will be migrating their ET200S, ET200M, and S7-300 product families to newer systems that allow for greater adaptability in the future.

Since the SIMATIC ET 200SP hit the market in 2012, Siemens has continuously extended the functionality and the product range so that a complete migration from the SIMATIC ET 200S system to the successor system SIMATIC ET 200SP is possible. Siemens has announced that they will phase-out the system family ET 200S on October 1st, 2020, the individual components of the system family will be available for at least 10 years.
